Purpose of Position:
To provide an excellent customer service to the customers of Beeston Animal Health, advising them on the range of products and health planning. To effectively manage stock levels and deliver products to customers.
Roles & Responsibilities:
To provide an outstanding level of customer service to all customers, building productive and positive relationships.
To take responsibility for the logistics of the stock and to ensure that relevant stock is distributed and ensuring stock is correctly issued, received and stored.
To ensure that there is an efficient and effective delivery and collection / distribution service at all times for our customers.
To maintain skills and knowledge and the SQP qualification to ensure that customers can be advised on appropriate products and health management for their animals.
The role involves a degree of manual handling and can be physically demanding.
To maintain administration systems to ensure that records are kept appropriately which includes the use of an in-house database system and PC, internet and email usage.
To undertake such duties as may from time to time be reasonably requested within the flexible definition of the post.
The skills, abilities, experience and knowledge outlined below provide a summary of what is required to carry out this job effectively.
· A current, clean driving licence.
· At least 18 years old, for Willows insurance purposes.
· Prior experience of working within an animal health role.
· Physically able to undertake the manual handling tasks required for this role which will include moving heavy goods.
· Excellent customer service & IT skills.
· Prior experience in a retail environment.
· Knowledge of the local area.
· To be capable and confident of driving a vehicle.
· Knowledge of the Veterinary industry.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
· Confident communicator, both on the telephone and face to face.
· Flexible team player.
· Organised and methodical in work.
Beeston Animal Health provides quality animal health products and advice to all equine, pet and livestock owners. As part of this, we endeavour to source the best new products available and offer the most up to date advice on animal health matters. This role will have a nominal base at our Beeston Animal Health retail outlet in Tarporley as well as being required to visit customers to give animal health advice and to deliver products (a company vehicle is provided for deliveries).
This is a full time role based on working 37.5 hours per week (although part-time could be considered for the right candidate) and includes working alternate Saturday mornings.
