Birchwood and Beech House, Warrington
Salary Bandings £53,400 – £68,000 depending upon experience and additional qualifications (ref. Willows Vet Group Salary Bandings)
An exciting management opportunity has arisen for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at Birchwood Veterinary Surgery following the departure of our current Clinical Director at Birchwood combined with Senior Vet input at our Beech House site, which provides OOH and inpatient care for 7 branches, working with the Leadership team of both sites.
The role will require 2-3 days per week based at Birchwood working closely with the onsite Head Nurse with added support from one of our Practice Co-ordinators, to help to develop this branch. Additionally, there will be the opportunity to work 1-2 days (depending on working patterns) at Birchwood’s sister practice Beech House, also in Warrington as one of the Senior Vets giving you access to a different case load and equipment for your cases, shared knowledge of working with other vets in the wider team and supporting the Beech House management. Beech House is looking to transition to RCVS Hospital status within the next 12 months.
The role is working either a 4 day or 4.5-day week (9 days over a 2-week period) plus taking part in a weekend rota at our Beech House branch. The rota involves working a 1:4 Saturday, 1:12 Sunday, and supporting on the bank holiday rota. In addition to a second on site vet you will work alongside newly qualified graduate so if you are a VETGDP advisor or willing to do the training that would be a great advantage.
Acorn Veterinary Surgery is a well-equipped, state of the art, hospital standard practice that is in the centre of the West Kirby community. We are now looking to add a recently graduated Small Animal Vet to our experienced team at Acorn. The role will involve working FT over 4 days plus a 1:4 Saturday working 9-5. There are NO OOHs or bank holiday rota as our clients are looked after by MiNight Vets. There is plenty of support available for any new graduate interested in joining us, we have Vet GDP advisors in practice plus a team of individuals that support our graduates from a group perspective. You would be working alongside a further team of 4 Vets who collectively have over 60 years of veterinary experience. We also have an experienced team of nurses and receptionist who make up the rest of our fantastic team at Acorn Veterinary Surgery.

Our busy veterinary practice is based in the middle of a local community within Birchwood Shopping Centre. We opened our doors in 2017 and since then we have gone from strength to strength. mall Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Maternity Leave
Charter Vets, Congleton
Full-time over 4 days plus 2:11 Saturday morning
We have an opportunity for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join Charter Vets in Congleton. The role is to cover a circa 9-12month Maternity leave cover and will commence from November 2024.
The role is to work alongside another 4 SA Vets, plus an excellent support team of RVN’s, auxiliary nurses and receptionists. It would involve working between consults and surgery. The practice is open daily from 8:30-6:30 so you would work within these hours across a 4-day working week. Within the Charter pod we have another 4 practices so you would support on a weekend rota working 2:11 Saturdays between 9-1pm. This role comes with no OOH’s or bank holiday commitments. Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
Maternity cover – April 2024 onwards
Laurels Veterinary Surgery, Runcorn, Cheshire
We are looking for a Small Animal Vet to join our team on a Maternity contract from April 2024 for circa 12 months. Ideally, we would be interested in applicants who are an all-round GP Vet working across surgery and medicine cases. There is also the option to get involved as a Vet GDP advisor to support our 2023 Graduate cohort.
About Us – Being a local community vet practice is central to the ethos at The Laurels… Maybe that’s why they have been at the heart of the community in Runcorn for over 10 years. They regularly get involved in all pet related aspects in the local community, from local small dogs shows, to school visits, career fairs and raising money for local charities.
The role -Working Full-time over 4 days per week. Your rota would also include working a 1:4 Saturday (hours are annually accrued within your contracted hours of 37.5/week) 1:12 Sunday rota and 1 or 2 bank holidays per year. Holiday hours are given for any Sunday and bank holidays worked throughout the year.

Beech House Veterinary Centre, Warrington
We officially opened our doors to the new Beech House in December 2022 and the practice has gone from strength to strength since that time. We have a full team of Vets, nurses and support staff and are currently recruiting the OOH team. Our impressive facilities include 3 operating theatres, separate ultrasound, X-ray, and dental rooms. We have an opportunity for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at our veterinary practice Broom Cottage, in Wilmslow. The role will cover a circa 12-month maternity leave from October 2024, working FT over a 4-day week plus a 1:4 Saturday, 1:12 Sunday and bank holiday rota. Sunday and bank holiday shifts will be worked at one of our sister branches, Beech House in Warrington. There will be some sole charge during the week.
