Winsford Vets has been looking after local animals since 1962 and in 2014 we moved to our brand new premises. The new premises are light and airy with a spacious waiting room with a cat only area and spacious consultation room. The premises were designed to be easy to keep clean to minimise the risk of infection.
We pride ourselves on the outstanding levels of care we provide to our clients and their pets. We are the only Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) accredited veterinary practice in Winsford and we are also an approved BVNA nurse training surgery. We are the only Winsford Vets who employ qualified nurses. We have 3 because we believe that your pets deserve to be looked after by time served qualified nurses.
Our two main vets have been at the practice for 13 years and 9 years respectively
Our facilities include
- In house Blood and Urine Testing
- Dental Machine
- Full Operating Facilities
- Separate Prep Room
- 2 Generously Sized Consulting Rooms
- ECG Machine
- Roomy Cat and Dog Kennels
We offer a number of nurse clinics with a nurse who has undergone additional extensive training as a Pet Health Care Councellor including:
- Weight Clinics
- Parasite Clinics
Winsford Vets are very active in the local community and regularly give talks to local schools and groups. We also raise a significant amount of money for charity. Until the sad demise of Cheshire FM you may have heard Fiona doing the monthly ‘Vet Questions and Answers Spot ‘ on the station.
We love animals. Between us we have dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, bearded dragons, a corn snake, a Boa Constrictor, a parrot, ferrets, chinchillas and horses.
